Description
The building is a late 19th century single-storey, four-bay rectangular water storage reservoir located on sloping ground that falls steeply to the north and east. It features small square hatches at each opening, which are flanked by arrow slits. The gable apexes have timber louvred oculi, and there is a rectangular pitched-roof timber ridge ventilator with louvres and bracketed eaves. The exterior is constructed of squared, coursed, and snecked bull-faced stone with smooth margins. To the west, there is a circular tank that has been infilled.
The hatches have timber boarded doors with cast-iron strap hinges, and the gable openings are fitted with horizontal timber louvers. The roof is covered with grey slates arranged in diminishing courses, and there are stone skews with curved skewputts and block finials at the gable apexes.
Access to the interior was not possible at the time of the survey in 2005.
