Description
The Stable Range at Sunlaws House Hotel, likely designed by architect David Rhind in 1853 and possibly remodeled in 1885 by Watherston, is a Tudor Gothic structure built around a quadrangular courtyard. It is a single-storey building with lofts and features a Tudor-arched entrance at the base of a crenellated, three-stage square tower. The north front showcases stugged coursers with polished dressings, while the remainder is constructed from rubble. The building has mostly mullioned square-headed windows, with a gable to the left that includes kneelers. The top stage of the tower is offset and features a clock face set within a diamond panel. The roofs are primarily slated, and the courtyard is open at the south, behind a cart shed.
