Description

No. 1 Richieston Cottages is a single-storey and attic building designed by William Burn in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. The front features four doors and windows, along with single gablet dormers, arranged in two pairs that are reversed, creating a symmetrical composition with a double-width central stack.

At the rear, there are four piended outshots and four windows above, with gable outshots. The roof is slated and has stone bracketed eaves, with corniced ashlar stacks. The original glazing remains intact throughout the building.
