Beltrees Cottage, located in High Barholm, Kilbarchan, is a single-storey building with a dormered attic. It is constructed from stone and has a slated roof. The cottage was built around 1777 by Robert Semple, a poet, and has undergone alterations since its original construction. The main part of the cottage features two wings at either end, which are likely not new additions.
