Garthland Place, 17 Glasgow Road, Paisley

Garthland Place, located at 5 Glasgow Road in Paisley, is a symmetrical terrace of three 2-storey houses with an attic and basement, built around 1820. The houses feature a 3-bay design, with the end houses (Nos 3 and 19) and the middle house (No 11) being wider and symmetrical. The exterior is finished in ashlar, with a rusticated basement. Each house has a projecting porch supported by Corinthian columns, which either lead to a pediment (for Nos 3 and 19) or an entablature (for No 1). The doors are corniced and consoled, and all entrances are approached by steps. The windows are architraved, with ground floor windows also having cornices and a cill course. The eaves feature a cornice with a pediment area at No 11, die parapets at Nos 3 and 19, and a blocking course on the remaining houses. The slate roof includes some modern dormers and corniced stacks.
