Description
The Parish Church in Fortingall was built by Dunn & Watson between 1901 and 1902, incorporating some materials from an earlier church on this medieval site. The church features a Scots Gothic style with harled walls and crowstepped gables. It includes a chancel, a nave with a porch, and a bellcote at the junction of the nave and chancel, which is of late 18th century design and replicates the style of the previous church. Inside, the church boasts a high-quality Arts and Crafts interior with original fixtures and fittings, including an open barrel vaulted timber roof. Additionally, there are fragments of a cross-slab, a Celtic handbell, and a bell from 1765 made by Johannes Specht in Rotterdam.
