Description

Weavers Cottage in Rait is a pair of single-storey thatched cottages dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, which have been converted into a single dwelling. The building has a roughly rectangular plan and features an outshot on the north (rear) elevation, which has been altered with later openings. The walls are made of painted rubble stone, with tooled stonework around the openings and angled corners. The roof is covered with reed thatch and has a concrete ridge, while stone chimney stacks are located on the end gables.
