Description
Kinnaird House is a building that originally dates from around 1770. It features a southwest-facing, two-storey structure with a basement and three windows, highlighted by a central pediment and Venetian windows on either side. The building has a high piend roof. An extensive addition was made to the east in 1840, which is dated, followed by a further addition in the central part around 1900. A large addition to the northwest, along with general repairs and remodelling, was carried out by architect W.A. Forsyth from London in 1929. Inside, the drawing room showcases painted arabesques and high-quality figure and landscape panels, which are possibly attributed to the Duchess of Atholl and likely date from around 1870.
