Description

151 King Street in Crieff is a two-storey building dating from the early 19th century and later, located at the junction of Burrell Street and King Street. The structure features timpany gables facing Gallowhill and is constructed from snecked rubble with stone margins, complemented by timber mullions.

On the southwest elevation facing Gallowhill, there is an eight-bay arrangement. The left side has three symmetrical bays, with a boarded timber door at the center beneath a single window and a timpany gable. The flanking bays contain bipartite windows on the ground floor and single windows on the first floor. To the right, there is a broader timpany gable above two windows on each floor, with a part-glazed timber door labeled 151 King Street on the outer right and a similar door for No 1 on the left, accompanied by a bipartite window beyond to the left on both floors.

The west elevation facing Burrell Street features a ground floor with two boarded timber doors positioned off-centre to the left, three small windows to the outer left, another similar window to the right, and a larger window on the outer right. The first floor has four windows.

On the east elevation facing King Street, there is a bipartite window on each floor of the outer left bay. The three symmetrical bays to the right, designated as No 147, include a door at the center with windows in the flanking bays and regular fenestration that breaks the eaves into dormerheads on the first floor.

The windows throughout the building are timber sash and case with small-pane and lying-pane glazing patterns, except for No 147 King Street, which has modern glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped squared rubble and render stacks with cans.
