Description
Langskaill House is a 17th century mansion that originally consisted of three ranges and a screen wall enclosing a courtyard. The northern range has been demolished. The eastern range was reconstructed around 1900 and now has one and a half storeys, previously having two full storeys. It is harled with freestone dressings, featuring a modern slated roof and corbie-stepped dormers. The entrance is centrally located on the western side and includes a lintel with the monogram W.C./M.H. The interior has been altered but still retains two original fireplaces. The western range, dated 1676 on the southeast skew-putt, is now gutted and roofless but rises to two storeys. The screen wall on the south side has allure, gun-loops, and a central arch with a pediment and an armorial panel above. There is also a two-way stair that connects the house to the shore.
