Description
Kirbuster Farm Museum is an old farmhouse featuring a fire-room with a sellar at the eastern end and an addition dated 1723 at the western end. The building is single-storey and constructed with flagstone, topped with a flagged roof that has a vent. There is a lean-to pantry on the northern side. The interior preserves several original features, including a fire-back, neuks for a bed and peat, and a flagged floor. An upside-down marriage lintel with the date and initials "I.S./K.N." is found in the addition. To the south, there is a long freestanding byre. Additionally, there are roofless structures including a stable and barn to the east, along with a piggery, smiddy, and kiln.
