Description
The Church of Scotland Manse in Shieldaig was designed by Thomas Telford and built between 1825 and 1827. It is a single-storey H-plan Parliamentary manse, finished with harling and featuring contrasting painted margins. The original central doorway has been converted into a window, and a new entrance has been added to the south gable, replacing a window. The building has 12-pane glazing, twin ridge stacks, and a slate roof. There are simple later cast-iron railings on a low retaining wall at the west frontage, while a high coped rubble garden wall surrounds the property elsewhere.
