5 Harbour Street, Plockton

These are a pair of cottages located at 4 and 5 Harbour Street, Plockton. They were likely built in the mid to later 19th century, although incorporating earlier elements in their construction. The cottages are single-storey with attics, each three bays wide with a central doorway. They are harled (roughcast) and have four-pane sash windows. Each cottage has end chimney stacks and slate roofs. Number 4 has two dormers with gabled ends projecting through the eaves. Number 5 has three dormers with bargeboards and cast-iron finials rising through the eaves. The cottages were likely raised and dormered around the mid to later 19th century.
