Description

These are a pair of cottages located at 4 and 5 Harbour Street, Plockton. They were built in the mid to later 19th century, although they incorporate earlier structural elements. The cottages are single-storey with attics, each with three bays and a central doorway. The exterior walls are harled, and they feature four-pane sash windows. Each cottage has end chimney stacks, and the roofs are slate. Number 4 has two gabletted dormers projecting through the roofline. Number 5 has three gabled dormers with bargeboards and cast-iron finials projecting through the roofline. The cottages were likely raised and had dormers added during the mid to later 19th century.
