Stable, 9 Breadalbane Crescent, Wick

8 Breadalbane Crescent in Wick is a semi-detached pair of townhouses built around 1860. These two-storey and attic homes have a rectangular plan and are symmetrical with gabled roofs, constructed from coursed Caithness stone slabs.

For No. 8, the principal elevation features a modern door at the center, regular window arrangement, and small gabled dormers. The side elevation has a blind gable end, while the rear elevation displays irregular fenestration and a forestair leading to a first-floor door. The yard and stables include a Caithness flagstone paved area and a single-storey, 6-bay gabled store with sliding cartshed doors.

No. 9 mirrors No. 8 with a modern door at the center of its principal elevation, regular fenestration, and small gabled dormers. Its side elevation also has a blind gable end, and the rear features irregular fenestration. The stables are a single-storey, 6-bay, narrow rectangular building with small square windows and grey slate roofing.

The boundary wall is low with saddleback coping, terminating in stone piers topped with pyramidal caps, and it supports decorative cast-iron railings. The buildings have plate glass sash and case windows, grey slates, lead flashing, raised skews, and coped gable stacks. The interiors were not seen in 2001.
