Description

The Church of Scotland in Moy was built in 1765 and underwent repairs in 1793 and 1829, with further recasting in the later 19th century. It is a simple rectangular building oriented east-west, featuring a small rear wing that contains the Minister's room and forms a re-entrant angle with the doorway. The exterior is made of harled rubble with tooled ashlar margins and dressings.

On the south elevation, there are a pair of round-headed windows, which were formerly entrances in the outer bays, and they are fitted with leaded pane glazing. The building is topped with a birdcage bellcote that has stumpy finials and a slate roof.

Inside, the church has a simple interior that includes late 19th-century fittings, grained pews, and a panelled Minister's desk.

Adjacent to the church is a small square rubble watch-house located in the southwest angle of the burial ground. This watch-house has a central door, two small square vents under the eaves, end stacks, and a piended slate roof on the left gable.

The burial ground is enclosed by a rubble wall of varying heights, topped with flat or roughly shaped rubble coping. Square gate piers flank the entrance opposite the former church doorways, and there is a later pedestrian entrance that does not have piers.
