Description
Ness Bank United Free Church, built by William Mackintosh between 1900 and 1901, is a cruciform church constructed from Gothic snecked rubble. It is oriented north to south and features a transeptal porch at the northeast, along with a porch and stair-tower also at the northeast. The church has a nave and aisles, with three bays that are buttressed on the west side. The north gable showcases a six-light Decorated window, flanked by octagonal pinnacled buttresses. Beneath the church is a hall. Inside, there are arcades that separate the nave and aisles, a north gallery, and a panelled timber ceiling. The stained glass windows were created by Isobel Goudie.
