Description
Helen’s Lodge is an earlier 19th century cottage, originally a single storey and three-bay design, extended later with a single storey and attic rear wing to create a T-shaped plan. The main cottage is harled. A central door is sheltered by a modern glazed porch and is topped by a rectangular fanlight with decorative glazing. Substantial canted bays project to either side, each with a facetted piended roof incorporating three windows with 12-pane glazing. Tall end stacks have been heightened. The roof is piended and slate-covered, and may also have been heightened. A wing to the rear has a loft entrance in its south-east gable.
