Description
Loch Ospisdale East at Skibo Castle is a pair of two-storey, two-bay dwellings, likely designed by Ross and Macbeth in the early 20th century. The buildings feature coursed, tooled rubble with polished ashlar dressings. The outer bays have tripartite windows on both the ground and first floors, with the first-floor windows rising through the wallhead, set within wide crowstepped gables that are topped with finials. The central first-floor windows also extend through the wallhead and are adorned with gablets featuring wild beasts. The crowstepped gables are complemented by end and ridge batteries of octagonal chimney stacks, and the roofs are covered with slate.
At the rear, there are single-storey, wide two-bay industrial buildings that were formerly used as an electric house. These structures have a slated roof with raised and louvred vents at the ridge, and the interior is finished with white tiles.
