Description

This is a later 19th century "Thomsonesque" villa located at 56 Queen Mary Avenue in Crosshill, Glasgow. The building has two storeys and three bays, featuring a gabled right bay adorned with fret-work. The ground floor has openings with a central door, flanked by inset pilasters and plate glass sash windows that display incised detail. The first-floor windows are plain architraved with T-shaped glazing. The exterior is constructed from snecked rubble, which has been stone-cleaned, and is complemented by painted stone detailing. There is a low boundary wall with modern railings and plain gatepiers.
