Description
59 Crosshill Avenue in Glasgow is a public housing development designed by Ronald Bradbury after 1948. It received a Festival of Britain Award for Merit in 1951. The building consists of L-shaped house blocks arranged on either side of a road corner. It features red brick construction with small-paned casement windows and original doorways that are recessed to form open porches. The roofs are slightly bell-cast and covered with red tiles, and the brick stacks are positioned below the ridges. The structure is essentially unaltered.
