210 Broomhill Drive, Broomhill, Glasgow

216 Broomhill Drive is a two-storey and attic Italianate terrace house, built around 1891-1892. It features a symmetrical design with two bays, constructed from polished ashlar and rock-faced squared rubble for the plinth and side elevations. The windows are sash and case with plate glass, and the roofs are covered with slate.

The end houses, Nos. 206 and 216, project forward and have square towers above the doors that rise higher than the roof. The inner sections have projecting gables. The entrance is located in the outer bay at the top of a stair, and is adorned with a cornice supported by elaborate consoles. Above the entrance is a tripartite window with a cornice, and there are narrow, arched two-light attic windows on either side with stepped architraves.

At the ground floor, there is a five-light canted bay with a cill band, sculpted tympana, and a bracketed cornice that forms the cill band for the first floor. The roof over the first floor features brattishing at No. 206. Small arched attic windows are present in the gable, although the one at No. 216 has been altered.

For Nos. 208 and 214, the entrances are located at Nos. 206 and 216, with a single light window above. These houses have a plain three-light canted bay at the ground floor with brattishing and a tripartite window above. There is also a two-light dormer.

No. 210 has a square tripartite central bay that mirrors the detailing of the outer bays, with console corniced openings on the right and left, and an entry to the right. It also features a dormer.
