Description
This is a later 19th century three-storey tenement located at 7 and 9 Newark Drive in Glasgow. The building features elevations facing three streets, with distinctive bowed and turretted bays. It showcases classical architectural details, including stone-cleaned ashlar that is channelled at the ground level and banded at the first floor, which also has window hoods and inset pilasters at the second floor. The design includes horizontal bands or strings, a bracketted cornice, and plate glass sash windows. The building has stacks at the wall-head and positioned below the ridges, with slate roofs and corner turrets topped with truncated conical roofs.
