Former Girls Training College, Notre Dame Primary School, 66 Victoria Crescent Road

Boundary walls and railings at Notre Dame Primary School, which includes the former Girls Training College and gatepiers, were designed by Bruce & Hay around 1905. The building is predominantly three stories with an attic and features a Free Style design. It is linked to the former training college by a high arch to the northeast and is set around a triangular courtyard. The structure is made of squared and snecked bull-faced red sandstone with ashlar dressings. Notable architectural elements include a base course, string courses, canted bay windows, and bipartite windows with stone mullions. The school has three angled blind bell towers that are corbelled from the first floor, featuring arrow slit windows and trefoil and quatrefoil blind openings that break the eaves. The training college is connected to the former Training Wing of Dowanside House at 74 Victoria Crescent Road.

On the south elevation, there is a four-bay gabled section on the left flanked by a pair of advanced blind bell towers. To the right, a ten-bay section features a broken pedimented entrance at the first bay with a two-leaf timber door. The windows are predominantly timber sash and case with horns, including some plate glass, two-pane, and four-pane designs, all covered with grey slates.

The interior is simple, with the school featuring a pair of staircases at the west and east sides of the building, adorned with cast-iron balusters. There is dado height timber boarding, and part-glazed corridors that provide light and views to the classrooms. The top floor assembly hall to the west has an open timber roof and a gallery that echoes the timberwork of Pugin & Pugin at the former Chapel. The training college also has dado height timber boarding in its large classrooms.

The gatepiers, boundary walls, and railings to the south consist of a low sandstone coped wall with railings. To the far right, there is a plain stone square pier with a pyramidal cap, and to the left, a pair of predominantly red sandstone square piers with decorative gabled caps.
