Description
195 Wilton Street in Glasgow is a building dating from around 1860, located on a convex crescent that leads into the east-west part of Wilton Street. It is a three-storey structure with a basement and features three bays, while Nos. 167 and 169 have four bays. The building steps down along a curve and slope to the west. The frontage and south end elevation are made of ashlar stone, with a channelled design at the ground level. There is a cornice above the ground floor, cill courses on the first and second floors, and a modillion eaves cornice. The doorways are tripartite and include panelled storm doors. The windows on the first and second floors are architraved, with the first-floor windows also corniced. The sash and case windows have plate glass glazing.
No. 167/9 features a south-facing elevation with five bays, two of which are set back. The eastern three bays have a three-storey canted window. Both the east and south elevations have parapets. Additionally, Nos. 167/9 and 203/5 have lugged architraves on the first floor.
