1, 2 Park Quadrant, Glasgow

9 and 10 Park Quadrant in Glasgow is a French Renaissance-style curved terrace of tenements designed by architect Charles Wilson, built around 1855 to 1858. The building consists of four storeys, attics, and a basement, with a truncated design at No. 10 on the east side, adjoining Park Terrace to the west.

The paired two-bay elevations feature paired doorpieces that provide main-door access to the ground floor and common stair. Nos. 1 and 2 are slightly advanced and are likely the earliest constructions in the terrace. The exterior is finished in polished ashlar, with the ground floor being channelled and mostly cleaned of stone. The steps oversail the basement and lead to tripartite doorpieces adorned with elongated consoles and cornices.

The design includes full-height canted bay windows, with all upper windows featuring architraves. The first floor has consoled and corniced windows, while the second floor has corniced windows, with Nos. 1 and 2 having consoled designs. The windows are sash style, with either plate-glass or four-pane glazing. Additional architectural details include continuous string courses at the cills, a bracketed cornice, and a blocking course. The building has axial stacks with plain flues and steeply pitched slate roofs that include recessed dormers. The basement and steps are complemented by good cast-iron railings.

Inside, the structure features moulded cast-iron beams that support a stone cantilevered stair with cast-iron balusters. The rear elevation showcases full-height projecting square bays.
