Description
This mid 19th century tenement block is three stories high and part of a row of four similar buildings. It features a basic layout of four 7x5-bay closes, with two tenements set side by side and the end tenements positioned at right angles. The design reflects a Late Georgian style, characterized by single window bays and shallow advanced five-bay ends. The ground floor is channelled, and the windows above are architraved, with a cornice at the first floor. The building is constructed of polished ashlar, which has mostly been stone-cleaned, and it includes sash windows. The corniced stacks, particularly those over the wall-head, have scrolled bases, and the roofs are covered with modern tiles.
