15 Kingsborough Gardens, Glasgow

33 Kingsborough Gardens in Glasgow is a long terrace of 14 two-bay houses, designed with a similar facade. The houses from Nos 1 to 37 were built by D Woodburn Sturrock in 1902, while Nos 39 and 41 were constructed by William Benzie in 1903. The terrace gently curves to the south at Nos 35 to 41 and steps down a slope, ending in a truncated section. The exterior features polished red ashlar, with a bull-faced finish at the basement.

On the left side, steps lead to a doorpiece with double leaf panelled storm doors and a glazed fanlight above. Flanking the door are two narrow lights, mostly filled with leaded glass. Above the door is a bipartite window with a bracketed cill. To the right, there is a full-height four-light bow window, corniced over the ground floor, with plate glass in the lower sash and leaded glass in the upper sash. A band course runs at the ground level and over the eaves, which are supported by timber modillions. The party walls feature skews, and there are corniced axial stacks, some with octagonal flues. The roofs are slate with tile ridges.

Dormer windows are present at Nos 13-25 and 39-41, featuring three-light bows over the bow window, with conical roofs alternating with bipartite dormers. Nos 39 and 41 have single light windows above the doors, with bracketed cills linked by a curvilinear string course. The rear elevation is finished in stugged ashlar and mainly features bi- or trientrance sash windows. The lower sashes have plate glass glazing, while the upper sashes have small pane glazing.
