Description

The Junior Rates Block, built between 1939 and 1940, is a large single-storey former accommodation building. It features a central spine with four long parallel ranges on either side and a taller pitched roof water tower located to the south. The exterior is made of smooth cement-rendered brick, and it has timber boarded doors. The building predominantly has multi-pane metal windows with top hoppers, and it is topped with an asbestos roof.
