Description
26 North Row in Charlestown is a row of six single-storey cottages built in the later 18th century. The cottages are symmetrical and consist of three bays, constructed from rendered sandstone.
The principal elevation features a central door flanked by windows. The west elevation has a window, while the north elevation includes rear flat-roofed extensions. The east elevation has a door leading to one of the extensions.
The cottages have 4-pane sash and case windows at 26 and 28 Charlestown Village, while other windows are 2-pane sash and case. Nos 29 and 30 feature bipartite windows. The cottages have a continuous piended roof covered with red clay pantiles and a slated easing course. There are gable end stacks and five brick ridge stacks.
The interiors were not seen during the last inspection in 2000.
