Description
The Parish Church on Kirkgate in Cupar was designed by architect and builder Hay Bell in 1785. Following a structural failure, the walls were raised by 6 feet and a new roof was added shortly thereafter. The church features a battlemented porch designed by Thomas Finlay in 1803. It is a large rectangular structure made of ashlar stone, adorned with urns and a corbelled eaves course. The south elevation includes two large round-arched windows, with four smaller windows on each side. The gables are decorated with Venetian windows. Inside, there is a 15th-century effigy of Fernie, and the interior was refurnished in 1882, with an organ added in 1892.
