Description
Carnbee House is a classic two-storey, three-bay house built between 1819 and 1820, situated over a raised basement. The exterior is made of droved ashlar stone with polished dressings. The main entrance is located on the south side, featuring steps with a simple iron handrail that lead to a recessed, central, round-headed door adorned with a fanlight and a pilastered doorcase. The windows are 12-pane sashes. There is a continuous band course above the basement, along with an eaves course and cornice. The house has corniced end stacks and a piended slate roof. The east and west elevations each have two bays. On the north elevation, there is a basement door and a tall central stair window, which is situated below an inserted oculus from 1908, along with irregular glazing.
