Description
85 South Row in Charlestown is a row of six single-storey, three-bay cottages built in the later 18th century. The cottages have a symmetrical design and are rendered.
On the north elevation, each cottage features three symmetrical bays with a central door and flanking windows. The east elevation has a window, while the south elevation includes rear extensions. The west elevation presents a plain gable wall.
The cottages have replacement windows and a continuous roof that is piended, covered with clay pantiles, which are glazed black on No 85. There are gable end stacks on the east side and five ridge stacks.
The interiors were not seen during the last inspection in 2000.
