Description
The Temple at Bandrum is an octagonal look-out tower built in 1842 by Henry Laurance and Lewis Mercer of Saline. It stands 24 feet tall and features gothic detailing. The structure is constructed of stugged ashlar and includes a cill course and cornice. On the south side, there are entrances at ground level with curved steps leading to the front, along with three carved niches above. The upper level has pointed-arch windows with hoodmoulds and an additional single niche above. There is another entrance on the north side that leads to an internal stone stairway to the upper level. The tower is currently roofless.
