Description

77 and 79 Market Street in St Andrews is a two-storey and attic building designed in the Scots baronial style by George Rae in the late 1860s. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar and features a three-window front facing Market Street. Notable architectural elements include twin corbelled gables with crowstepped tops. The building also has a double gable elevation on College Street, with a corbelled central attic gablet that conceals the valley.
