Description
The Dovecot at Biel House is an early 18th-century double lectern dovecot that is partially in disrepair as of 1988. It is constructed from red sandstone rubble, featuring squared dressings. The south elevation has two low doors, each with relieving stones above the lintels and an oculus flight hole. There is a rat course above and at the eaves level. The east and west elevations have ashlar coped crowstepped gables. The roof is covered with grey slate on the western half of the dovecot, which includes a row of flight holes at the midpoint.
Inside, the dovecot is lined with nesting boxes and includes a potence and ladders, although the interior was not seen in 1988.
