Description

1 Kitchener Crescent in Longniddry is a semi-detached house designed by Henry and MacLennan in 1916. It features a single storey and an attic, with a symmetrical five-bay frontage. The broad gable at the center breaks the eaves and rises to the ridge height. At the ground level, there are canted paired windows in the center and paired windows in the gable head. On either side of the central bays, there are boarded doors with glazed upper panels, and each outer bay has a single window. The outer bays also have piend roofed dormers with smaller timber-mullioned bipartite windows. The glazing is consistent throughout, and the roof is covered with Scottish slates.
