Description

The ice house at Cawder Park in Bishopbriggs is an early 19th-century structure designed by David Hamilton. It faces north and features a Neo-classical style, with mounded earth on the sides and rear. The exterior is constructed from large, droved ashlar blocks, and the interior is fully lined with brick. Notable architectural details include a moulded plain pediment and a segmental arch that is recessed at the center, which has a segmental arch doorway inset. Inside, there is a brick-lined chamber.
