Description

Craig House is a classical mansion built around 1830-1840. It features an impressive Ionic portico and a double flight of curved entrance steps. The building has two storeys, a raised basement, and small pedimented attic dormers. The facade has a symmetrical arrangement of sash windows, with the center slightly recessed and end pavilions that have raised parapets or entablatures. A continuous projecting cornice runs along the top, and the hipped slate roof is complemented by symmetrically arranged chimneys. On one side, there is a large glazed winter garden.
