7 Terregles Street, Dumfries

5 Terregles Street in Dumfries is an early 19th-century, two-storey terrace building with basements. It features three bays facing Laurieknowe and seventeen bays along Terregles Street, with one blind bay at both the ground and first floors between Nos 3 and 5. The exterior is constructed of red droved ashlar and includes a broad band course at the ground floor. The entrances are deeply recessed, with wide stone jambs flanking the doors and lintels that extend across the jambs. Above the doors are rectangular fanlights. The sash windows, which are now mostly fitted with plate glass, retain a 12-pane glazing pattern in the blind bays. The building has dwarf front walls and railed steps leading up to the doors. Notably, No 5 features a canted dormer.
