Description
41 High Street in Kirkcudbright is an early 19th-century terraced house. It is two storeys tall, with No 39 featuring an attic. The building has an off-centre pend and consists of three bays on the right and two on the left. It is constructed from rubble with painted margins. No 39 has a door and window on the left, while Nos 41 and 43 have windows with a central door to the right. The first floor has three windows: No 39 features plate-glass sashes, No 41 has 12-pane windows, and No 43 has 4-pane windows. No 39 also has a large wallhead with a piended dormer. The building has straight skews, brick end stacks, and a partly graded slate roof, with a rear wing located behind Nos 41 and 43.
