Description
This is a mid-19th century former school building, now converted into a house, located in Dalswinton village. The building is single-storied and constructed of rubble stone with ashlar dressings. It has been whitewashed, with contrasting painted margins highlighting the window and door surrounds.
The west elevation features an off-centre boarded door with a rectangular fanlight above. Four windows are arranged in regular bays to the right of the door, and a single window is located to the left. The north gable has bipartite windows, while the roof is piended at the south, above a lean-to addition. A single axial stack rises from the roof. The roof is covered in slate.
The building is listed for group value, acknowledged for its contribution to the character of the surrounding area.
