Description

Alfred Greig, 1899-1905. Terrace of 10, 2-storey, 2-bay houses; single storey outbuildings to rear; coursed and squared rubble with cream sandstone dressings; rounded reveals.

NW (COLINTON ROAD) ELEVATION: every 2 houses mirrored, elevation comprised of panelled entrance doors to centre bays with deep corniced and consoled timber canopy and narrow leaded sidelights; single window at 1st floor; 2-storey canted window of ashlar to outer bays with cornice and blocking course.

NE AND SW ELEVATIONS: gable with apex chimney to front elevation; 2 single windows to rear elevation.

SE (REAR) ELEVATION: single storey paired outbuildings with rear door in return; single windows to each bay and floor; 2 with French doors at ground floor. Timber sash and case windows; 6-pane upper sashes and plate glass lower sashes to front and sides; 12-pane windows to rear; steep green slate roof to front, slate roof at right angle to rear of end terrace, flat-roofed rear bays in centre of terrace; red ridge riles; mutual and apex stacks (see above); skew blocks; moulded eaves gutter. INTERIOR: not seen 1992.

Low rubble boundary wall to front; decorative cast-iron gates.
