Description
13 Bellevue Place in Edinburgh is a two-storey, nine-bay classical terrace built in 1893 by John Chesser, consisting of four houses. The exterior is made of sandstone ashlar with architraved margins, featuring a base course, cill bands at both the ground and first floors, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course. The windows are narrow.
The principal elevation has thirteen bays at the ground level, with timber panelled doors that have fanlights in architraved entrances located in bays three, six, seven, and twelve. The remaining bays contain windows, with a smaller window on the outer right, and there is regular fenestration above.
The windows are timber sash and case style with plate glass and four-pane glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates and features ashlar ridge stacks with terracotta cans, as well as skews and cast-iron railings.
The interior was not seen in 1998. The property is enclosed by low coped ashlar boundary walls.
