11, 12, 13, 14, 15 Brandon Terrace, Edinburgh

21, 22, 23, 24, and 25 Brandon Terrace in Edinburgh are four-storey blocks built by Robert Muirhead between 1884 and 1889. These buildings are stepped along the slope and share a similar character with the nearby properties at nos 1-8, though they feature different details. Each block has a continuous podium of ground floor shops, which includes a cornice and blocking course; most of these have been altered, except for nos 16-21. The central entrances to the flats above are marked by stone arched doorpieces with keyblocks. The upper frontages are made of ashlar and feature two windows, which have been altered, alongside two canted bays. Additional architectural details include cornices over the first-floor windows, belt and cill courses on the third floor, a main cornice, and a slated roof.
