Description
This building, located at 13 and 15 Buccleuch Street in Edinburgh, dates from around 1780 and consists of a pair of four-storey and attic tenements. Each tenement features five bays and a gabled design with a two-bay coped nepus gable. The exterior is made of coursed Hailes sandstone rubble, accented with cream ashlar dressings. The windows are regularly spaced and have projecting sills and raised tabbed margins.
At No 13, there is a central timber-panelled door, while No 15 has an off-centre door to the right. Each attic has two piended dormers. The windows predominantly feature 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case style. The building has gablehead and ridge stacks with clay cans, and the roof is covered with grey slate.
