7 Belford Mews

6 Belford Mews is a row of single-storey and attic mews houses built around 1865. The buildings feature prominent ashlar pedimented dormers with alternating semi-circular and shaped profiles, all topped with acroteria. There have been some later alterations, including flat lintels and steel doors added to some former openings. The construction consists of coursed squared and snecked red sandstone rubble, with some red sandstone ashlar surrounds and a banded eaves course. The openings are roll moulded, with ashlar cills that have inscribed scrolls. The cart shed doors are segmental headed, predominantly featuring two-leaf arched timber doors with four-light glazing in the upper sections. The entrance doorways are recessed, and there are some bipartite dormers.

On the east (rear) elevation, the ground floor has irregular fenestration with some doorways and later metal garage doors. The attic windows break the wallhead, featuring plain gablets and ashlar skews, along with some rectangular dormers and later rooflights.

The windows are predominantly plate glass in timber sash and case style. The roof is mansard, adorned with decorative clay ridge tiles and grey slates. The north gable end has moulded and bracketed ashlar skews, while the ridge and gable end stacks are corniced ashlar, with some wallhead stacks at the rear and a few modern flues. The rainwater goods are cast iron.
