12 Alma Crescent, Oban

14 Alma Crescent in Oban is a later 19th-century building featuring a three-storey, thirteen-bay crescent that slopes down the hill from No. 6 to No. 14, arranged in three blocks of four bays and one block of five bays. The front is constructed with coursed rubble stone, while the rear and end elevations are made of random rubble. The doors and windows have raised margins, with moulded cills on the street and end elevations, and plain cills at the rear. Quoins are present at the corners of the end elevations, the advanced bay, and the towers.

The street elevation is plain and symmetrical, showcasing regular window arrangements and a central deep-set entrance door. To the left of the doorway at No. 14, there is an advanced and gabled three-bay section. Nos. 6-10 have matching rear facades, with the outer bays aligning with the street front. A tower is located at the inner left bay, with intermediate heights matching the centre bay's stair windows and doors in the re-entrant angle. Smaller modern windows have been inserted in the inner right-hand bays.

No. 6 mirrors the overall design but features a smaller window at the ground floor to the left of the outer right bay, complete with a matching corniced sill. The west end elevation is gabled and includes bipartite windows on the first and second floors. Nos. 12-14 follow the same design but have a three-bay advanced section to the left of the central doorway. This advanced section is gabled towards the street and has an additional entrance door at the ground floor. The north end elevation is also gabled and features slit windows in the centre bay. The six-bay rear elevation is similar to the others but includes additional small modern windows. The modern windows at the rear have plate glass tilt-and-turn glazing, while all other openings feature six-pane sash and case windows, except for the modern glazing at No. 14, which follows a matching pattern. The roofs are grey-slated with overhanging eaves, the slating is flush with the end gables, and each block has a single cast-iron skylight in the street pitch. Cast-iron downpipes are also present.
