Description

The Church of Dysart in Glenorchy was built in 1811 and designed by James Elliot in a Gothick style. It is an octagonal structure with harled walls and a pyramidal slated roof. The church features pinnacled buttresses and pointed windows adorned with hood-mouldings. On one side, there is a square tower that consists of four stages, with string courses, a bell, a clock, and a pointed doorway. Inside the church, there is a flat ceiling and a loft supported by a wooden colonnade on three sides. The interior also includes mural tablets dedicated to the Campbells of Glenorchy, Earls of Breadalbane.
