Description

The Lighthouse at Mull of Kintyre was built between 1786 and 1788 by Peter Stuart from Campbeltown. It was repaired in 1820 by Robert Stevenson. The structure consists of five connected blocks, each one storey high, made of ashlar with painted platform roofs that are set behind parapets. It features a small round-capped tower and a small flat-roofed addition. There is also a piended block located across the road.
